16 Jun 1820   When she was 3, her sister, Elizabeth, was christened at Lutterworth - she died about 11 months later. Her father was a labourer. The family were still living at Webb's Yard.   Lutterworth parish register
25 Aug 1822   When she was 5, her brother, William, was christened at Lutterworth - he died just over 6 months later.   Lutterworth parish register

7 Jun 1841   On census night, she was living in Bakehouse Lane, Lutterworth, with her father - her mother was staying with her son, Joseph, and his family in Leicester. She rounded her age down to 22, although she was actually 24.

25 Nov 1861   Her mother died aged 83 of 'natural decay'. Present at the death was Ann Voss. (Since the same person was present at the death of her father, this may be the married name of her older sister, Ann, born 1815 and therefore married between 1830 and 1856.)   Death certificate
