When Ann Woodward died in 1883, she was certified to be
100 years old. That information was probably provided in good faith by the 'informant'
here, William Broughton, her next-door neighbour. Other documents, however, such as census entries and
church records, show that Ann was almost certainly rather less than 100 at her death - probably 95.
